Hartham Park Photographer
CORSHAM · WILTSHIRE
What an entrance.
What a place to marry.
Hartham Park is a stunning venue. That magnificent house, the grounds, and a staircase that makes you stop in your tracks. I’d be very happy to photograph another wedding here.
Wedding photography and film by Michael Gane, MGANE Studio. A few beautiful photographs together, and a day spent enjoying the people you love.

THROUGH THOSE DOORS
The staircase says it all.
Walk through the entrance at Hartham Park and you can’t help looking up. That grand, ornate staircase leading to the upper floors is something else. The entrance always puts me in mind of The Remains of the Day: that feeling of stepping into a rather magnificent country house.
Just imagine a few photographs on those stairs. Then there’s the library, with its bookshelves and a cosier feel. Two very different places, without even leaving the house.
Lovely rooms are wonderful to work in, but I don’t want you spending your wedding touring them with me. We’ll choose what suits you, make something beautiful, and get you back to your guests.
KATIE & THOMAS
A Christmas wedding.
A house full of life.
Katie and Thomas’s wedding was absolutely beautiful. A Christmas celebration in a house that has all the grandeur you could wish for. I’ve photographed a few weddings at Hartham now, and this was a lovely reminder of why I’d like to be back.
I remember standing in that grand reception room, photographing the speeches and all the life around me. For a moment, I found myself imagining the evenings those rooms must have seen over the years.
That’s the part I love. The house is magnificent, but fill it with your favourite people and it becomes your day. Press play for a little of Katie and Thomas’s.
BEYOND THE FRONT DOOR
A little wander.
Quite a lot to love.
Outside, the house stands in beautiful grounds overlooking the lake. The old stable buildings and the other buildings around the estate give it character beyond that impressive front entrance. There are smaller corners to notice as well as the big view.
The maze garden, with its winding paths and planting, is another lovely part of the setting. That’s what I like about a place with a little variety: we can find somewhere that feels right for you, rather than take the same photograph everyone else has.
We’ll work with the season, the light and the areas available on your day. A relaxed walk, a few photographs, then back to the celebration. You can read more about my approach to wedding photography and film here.
A FEW PRACTICAL QUESTIONS
Before your day.
Where is Hartham Park?
Hartham Park is just north of Corsham in Wiltshire, near Bath and Chippenham. I’m based in Beckington, Somerset, and photograph weddings across this part of the country.
Have you photographed a winter wedding here?
Yes. Katie and Thomas’s Christmas wedding is one I remember very fondly. The staircase and library give us beautiful indoor options, and we can decide about a wander outside around the weather and light on your day.
Will we spend a long time away having photographs?
I’d much rather you enjoyed your wedding. We’ll make time for a few lovely photographs together, while most of the coverage follows the people and the day as it happens.
YOUR WEDDING AT HARTHAM PARK
A place I’d love
to photograph again.
If you’re getting married at Hartham Park, I’d love to hear your plans. Tell me your date and a little about the two of you. Grand staircase, cosy library, a proper party: there’s rather a lot to look forward to.
For viewings and current venue arrangements, visit Hartham Park’s wedding website. You can also meet the photographer behind MGANE Studio.
Still deciding on your setting? Have a look at Wellington Barn or Orchardleigh House, two more places I know and enjoy photographing.
